MASSAGE THERAPY

Elyssa Speers, RMT.

About: Elyssa has always been interested in holistic and alternative medicines and therapies in her health and wellness lifestyle. It wasn’t until a traumatic life-changing event, when she realized how important receiving massages were as a grounding source to help reconnect herself back into her body. Elyssa began her massage career in 2019 and has since helped various clients reconnect back into their bodies. She is fascinated with how the body heals through various forms of modalities such as cupping; myofascial release; stretching and acupressure - just a few tools she brings into her practice. Her trauma-informed approach and flow is a blend of therapeutic massage with relaxing and rejuvenating benefits, focusing on mind body connection, stress/pain relief and nervous system regulation.

Elyssa tailors each treatment to the needs of her clients, ensuring they receive the best possible support in their healing and wellness journey.

Fav thing to treat: Anything back and shoulder…and feet!

Find her: Spending as much time as possible with her 2 teenage kiddos before they run away from home, running in the river valley, soaking up the sun on a beach, floating on the water, kitchen dancing, driving (I love a good road trip!), and daydreaming of riding a Triumph on winding roads in Europe.

Fun Facts: Elyssa was part of community theatre for 20 years throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas. She has since taken a hiatus to focus on family and career but the itch to get back on stage is becoming a bigger itch to scratch!

Personal Hell: Being cold, the wind, crowded places, parking lots and Costco.

Don’t be embarrassed if: You haven’t shaved…chances are she hasn’t either.

“Your body is a blessing that I have the privilege to work on no matter the shape, size, sweaty or not…my body is weird in ways too. My goal is to have you feeling better than when you came in.”
