MASSAGE THERAPY, she/her
Shannon Wilson, RMT
About: Shannon has been a Registered Massage Therapist for 16 years and has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients and injuries throughout her career. She has spent much of her practice working alongside chiropractors and has a particular interest in therapeutic massage, motor vehicle accident injuries, posture, and helping people feel better in their everyday lives.
Shannon also has a passion for teaching and education. She has developed continuing education courses for massage therapists and has taught courses on MVA treatments, professional practices, ethics, and business. She loves sharing what she has learned and helping other therapists feel confident in their careers.
Shannon also spent a year and a half living on Vancouver Island, where she worked at a high-end spa, providing deep relaxation treatments, and developed an even bigger appreciation for the ocean, mountains, and island lifestyle.
Fav thing to treat: Neck and shoulders, back pain, posture-related issues, and MVA injuries - but honestly, she loves figuring out what each person needs.
Find her: Outside! Shannon loves being near the water or in the mountains. Paddle boarding, waterskiing, floating down the river, exploring the river valley, or hanging out at the dog park with her Golden Retriever, Sky, are all good options.
Fun Facts: Shannon currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC), loves to cook, also she will start a DIY project right after she says, "No more DIY's!"
Personal hell: Winter. Snow, cold, pretty much anything that involves willingly putting on snow pants. The most unfortunate part, it's Sky's favorite season!.
Don’t be embarrassed if: It's your first massage and you're not sure what to do.
"I am here to walk you through and explain every step!"
